In 2012 I received a request to compose a new piece for a German ensemble Reflexion-X. At that time I was reading a book by a Russian underground author of the 20th century Venedict Yerofeev. His diary was included in a book. One of his notes simply said " you should love wordless games".
I found the idea of wordless games fascinating. Don't we play them every day?
